SWET means light.

Our name is our program.
"swet" is a Russian word meaning "light". SWET Optics is connecting russian physical technology and western market knowhow.

We develop and manufacture opto-electronic components for the super-fast data internet: a purely optical chip that helps to overcome large switching facilities for transmission networks.  Room high cabinets will become a chip in thumb dimension.

We can achieve this goal by usage of leading-edge optical technologies, tremendous knowledge about the dynamic means in nano scaled structures and the creativity of our scientific and technological staff from St. Petersburg (Russia), location of the largest physical-technical institute of the russian academy of science.

Thus we succeeded to develop a unique piece of equipment: the fastest, the most flexible and efficient optical filter world-wide! To be deployed as reconfigurable add-drop-mulitplexer, as tunable optical switch or as a cross-connection-system... all built on one single chip!
